The Fall Season is Upon Us!

Singing: "It's the most wonderful time of the year" :)

So, even though the summer shows have stepped up their game tremendously over the past few years (especially with Switched at Birth over on ABC Family, Franklin and Bash and Leverage on TNT, White Collar on USA and so many more shows that I absolutely love)...it is now time for the Fall premieres that we've been waiting months to see!

The shows that I'm MOST excited about this week are the returning favorites: How I Met Your Mother, Two and a Half Men, Modern Family, The Office, The Mentalist, The Big Bang Theory, Community, and Parks and Recreation! New shows I'm looking forward to are 2 Broke Girls (which I enjoyed last night), Up All Night (also enjoyed last week, but I'm bias because I absolutely love Christina Applegate...I'm still hurting over the cancellation of Samantha Who) and Maya Rudolph is the absolute best, Whitney (love her sense of humor), and Unforgettable (with Poppy Montgomery). I also really enjoyed the premiere episode of The Ringer last week and I'm very much looking forward to the second episode of the season tonight!

But really...what I am looking forward to the most is definitely the season 6 opener of DEXTER...which is the best show in the world. I say that a lot, kind of like how you tell your current guy that he's the best...but I really mean it with Dexter. The writers, the cast, the crew...they are the absolutely the best and I can't wait to see what is in store for this season. Especially with Mos Def guest starring! I'm sure it will be amazing!

Really, Emmy Awards?

I was actually quite entertained by the Emmy's this year with one major exception: Steve Carell NOT winning for his brilliant portrayal of Michael Scott on NBC's The Office. Even Jim Parsons' (CBS's The Big Bang Theory) mother knew Carell was going to win. But nope...nothing. After 7 seasons of making me laugh so hard that I cried, and a final episode (Goodbye, Michael) that actually made me cry...I really believed with all my heart that Carell was finally going to win an Emmy. But nope...nothing. Then I read this article over at MTV, and it kind of made me think that he didn't win because he didn't believe he was going to win. (I'm a huge believer in the Law of Attraction, btw). http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1670933/emmy-steve-carell-the-office.jhtml

But who knows, there were some pretty big upsets...the beautiful and talented Melissa McCarthy, for example. She didn't look like she thought she was going to win. I'm not a huge fan of Mike and Molly but I've seen a few episodes and although it has its moments, I'm pretty sure she won because the voters saw McCarthy's brilliantly hilarious performance in Bridesmaids! She was also great on Gilmore Girls...a show that I still miss everyday and I really wish they'd make a TV movie about. But only if it's written by series creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino. That would be amazing. But, I digress.

So to recap, my thoughts on the Emmy's are as follows: The voters suck for not awarding Steve Carell, the leading ladies of comedy jumping on stage beauty-pageant style was brilliant, Modern Family deservedly cleaned up, Ty Burrell's acceptance speech was the best, Jane Lynch was pretty funny ("People wonder why I'm a lesbian...ladies and gentlemen, the cast of Entourage!), and The Office sketch with everybody showing up at Dunder Mifflin was awesomeness! Even Kim Kardashian's part was funny!

Welcome (even though you've probably landed here by mistake)!

Hi, my name is Janeen. I am a writer (basically), a mommy, and lover of all things related to TV and food (I should really weigh a lot more than I do). Anyways, after searching for a cool blog for one of my favorite TV shows and finding nothing but sucky blogs filled with negativity discovering no such blog existed, I decided to create my own. Now this blog won't be geared towards just one show, it'll be about all of my favorite things to do with TV. And maybe even some random things that I love. So if you are reading this, feel free to say hello...unless of course you are one of those negative loser types who scour the internet to comment on things that they allegedly hate just because their own lives are so unbelievably sad. If that's you, please just keep it moving. Everyone else...hiya and thanks for stopping by:)
